Event Navigation

The Harrison Street Band is a Twin Cities-based blues, roots, and rock band that adds a little sass to that “Minnesota Nice”. Every player is as genuine as they are talented creating a truly enjoyable and entertaining show. Front woman Erin McCawley sings each song with the same confidence, power, and authenticity as if it was the story she was born to tell.

“A vocalist that grabs your attention no matter where you’re standing, Erin McCawley is one of the best the Twin Cities has to offer.” – Gary Eckhart, Blues Photographer, Writer for Blue Monday Monthly and 2016 MN Blues Hall of Fame Inductee.

“With a tightly rehearsed band behind her, Erin McCawley escorts you on a ride of many styles of music, all while mesmerizing you with her beautiful, well-trained voice. She doesn’t just sing, she’s a singer!”- Harold Tremblay (Hurricane Harold), Musician and KFAI “House Party” Personality

That tightly rehearsed band includes Tony Houle on lead guitar, Robb Stearns on bass, and Bill Whelan on drums; as well as the occasional addition of Paul Wigen on piano and organ, Joe Gagliardi on harmonica and guitar, Tommy Stevens on trumpet, and Sam Brooks on sax.

Harrison Street won the Famous Dave’s Battle of the Blues band as well as first runner up for the MN Blues Society’s Road to Memphis Competition in 2017. They have performed at several festivals throughout MN and WI including Bayfront Blues, Lowertown Blues, and Chippewa Blues Festival and were featured on the WCCO Mid-Morning show, in-studio for KFAI Radio, and live on ESPN for the announcement of the 2018 Hobey Baker Award.

They have just released their second, self-titled album which is full of original music written Erin McCawley. Arrangements were done by Harrison Street Band, and self-produced by McCawley and Bill Whelan.  It is currently available on Amazon.com, iTunes, and at Harrison Street’s live shows throughout the Twin Cities.
