From interviewing Louis Hayes to Steve Gadd, Phil Collins to Sheila E, Mark Guiliana to JoJo Mayer — LA-based drummer and composer Joe Wong has co-created an incredible podcast focused on “the lives of drummers.” And now, after 140 episodes, he’s bringing The Trapset podcast to the Twin Cities for the first time.

This live event will feature Joe interviewing a panel of Twin Cities drumming greats: Eric Kamau Grávátt (Weather Report, McCoy Tyner, etc.); Lori Barbero (Babes in Toyland); Gordy Knudtson (Steve Miller Band); and Todd Trainer (Shellac) about their lives and careers.

This rare event will be recorded for future broadcast on The Trapset podcast. Joe has produced similar city-specific live events in Los Angeles, Portland, OR and Milwaukee.

The Trap Set is a podcast produced in Los Angeles, CA by Joe Wong and Chris Karwowski. A new episode is released each Wednesday via iTunes, Stitcher, Google, etc. Joe has played drums with iParts & Labor, Marnie Stern, Mary Timony, Aa, and Man Forever. Along with his partner, Didier Leplae, Joe has composed music for several film and TV projects including: The Pool, The Yes Men Are Revolting, and Adult Swim’s Superjail.
